Tommy Kaszubowski
Owner, Executive Chef
Tommy was born and raised in northern Michigan and attended Schoolcraft College graduating from the culinary arts program. For the past 13 plus years, he has been a working chef in Petoskey, Michigan, where he lives with his wife & three children.
While in the Detroit area, Tommy worked under three world-class chefs. He also competed on a team at the 2005 sofi Competition in Seoul, South Korea bringing home gold and silver. After working as an Executive Chef at Fire Food & Drink, it was on to Chicago to help Chef Takashi Yagihashi open his flagship restaurant, Takashi.
After his time in Chicago, he headed back to northern Michigan to take over Tapawingo in Ellsworth, Michigan. He then took the Executive Chef position at Chandler's in Petoskey, Michigan.
Ron Cooper
Chef de Cuisine
Ron Cooper is a descendent of the founding family of nearby Horton Bay, Michigan. He attended Boyne City Hospitality and competed in Skills USA, a student career and technical organization. Staying rooted in his Northern Michigan bloodline, he has gone on to work in numerous local fine dining establishments with some of the finest chefs in the region.
Outside of the kitchen, Ron can be found camping in the Upper Peninsula, road-tripping to the desert, or scouting a new line in the backcountry.
